The man put in charge of this office by Bush has a five-year term from which he cannot be fired except in cases of illegal misconduct. And he's in the process of (1) dumping all the cases currently in the system, (2) firing many current employees without due process, and (3) hiring, without bids or HR review, his religious-conservative friends.
